Blaze damages garage in Des Plaines

A small fire broke out Wednesday morning inside a storage garage of Oakton Glass, 921 Oakton St., Des Plaines, authorities said. The fire, which caused roughly $10,000 in damage, started at 7:55 a.m. No one was injured. Authorities said they believe that the fire might have been started by a cigarette, but the case is still under investigation. The fire caused smoke and flame damage to the building. It took roughly 15 minutes to extinguish.
