Elgin police to honor officers

The community is invited to attend the Elgin police awards ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday in the Heritage Ballroom at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way.

Light refreshments will be served.

• The Department Commendations include: Sgt. Glenn Theriault, officer Heather Farrell, officer Travis Hooker, officer Jason Barnard, officer James Bailey (2), officer Adam Schuessler, officer Colin Fleury, officer Steve Bianchi, Comm Op Heidi Reinhardt, Comm Op Anthony Barreras, and Comm Op David Larson.

• Distinguished Service Commendation II include: Lt. Sean Rafferty, Detective Jim Lalley, Detective Tom Wolek, Detective Elias Acevedo, officer Jon Rustay, officer Colin Fleury, officer Tom Michael, officer Christian Jensen, officer Rick Demierre, officer Steve Hill, officer Bill Wood, and S/A Pete Vukovich.

• The Distinguished Community Service includes: Carol Dunn and Victoria Tollakson.

• The Distinguished Service Commendation I includes: Detective Jennifer Ahrens, Detective Chris Hughes, Detective Tom Wolek, Detective Frank Trost, Detective Craig Tucker, officer Keith Chrastka, officer Ed Cummings, officer Ken Ericson, officer Corey Johnson, officer Daniel Radmer, officer Ronald Reiter, officer Enrique Santiago, officer Adam Schuessler, officer Scott Williams, Comm Op Jo Knust and Comm Op Cheri Annau.

The following individuals will be receiving Lifesaving Awards at the March 12 Elgin City Council meeting at 7 p.m.: Sgt. Thomas Olson, officer Greg Schneider, officer Michael Sullivan, Sammy Lee Voss and Brian Warren.
