Two injured in Arlington Heights house fire
Two people were hospitalized after fire left their Arlington Heights house uninhabitable Monday. Firefighters responded to 315 S. Waterman Ave. for a call for fire around noon. The blaze started in the kitchen and may have been caused by the oven, although the exact cause has not been determined, officials said. The residents were taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights with unknown injuries, officials said. The house did have working smoke detectors, but the fire destroyed the kitchen and caused smoke and heat damage throughout the house. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
