More info on Olde Towne
Lombard residents are invited to a question and answer session with village staff about the Olde Towne East construction project. The project designer will deliver a presentation of the proposed improvements. Construction will begin in April and continue through the end of November. The public meeting is at 7 p.m. March 18 in the village hall board room, 255 E. Wilson Ave.
Glenbard plans concerts: The Glenbard South High School Jazz Bands One and Two will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school theater, 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn. Both groups will play selections they'll later perform at the Mundelein Invitational Jazz Festival. Glenbard West High School's choirs and orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium, 670 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn. One of the evening highlights will be Mozart's "Requiem."
Lombard shows student art: Students in Lombard Elementary District 44 will have artwork displayed in Lombard village hall prior to a village board meeting Thursday. The "Celebrate Art" reception is scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the community room, 255 E. Wilson Ave. The art will remain on display through April 8.
Scholarships available
Applications are available for Illinois General Assembly scholarships. Eight residents of House districts 48 and 96 receive scholarships annually. The scholarships cover full tuition at Illinois state-supported institutions. These scholarships are for one academic year only and are not automatically renewed. Criteria for awards vary from legislator to legislator. Application packets must be completed and postmarked by April 14 to be considered by Rep.
