Ex-Chicago alderman arrested
Former Chicago alderman and civil rights activist Dorothy Tillman was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing in an incident at a hospital in her native Montgomery, Alabama.
The arrest Sunday morning came after a confrontation with officials at Jackson Hospital over access to medical records for Tillman's 86-year-old ailing aunt.
Police Lt. Ron Cook said the 60-year-old Tillman was arrested at 6:32 a.m. and released at 8:14 a.m.
Tillman had attended a funeral Saturday for civil rights icon Johnnie Carr.
