Foster would not be a rubber stamp

The worst possible thing that could happen to residents of the 14th U.S. House District on March 8 is to end up with another Bush rubber stamp in Washington.

For the past eight years, our voices have been deliberately silenced and flagrantly ignored by a Bush "yes" man serving as our representative in Congress. As a result, our economy is faltering; our troops are needlessly sent into harm's way solely for the sake of increasing the profits of war-mongerers and oil barons; our national security has been seriously jeopardized and trust in our own government has eroded because of repeated abuses by those in power.

The special election is a unique opportunity to create positive change here in the 14th District and throughout the nation by electing an intelligent, competent representative.

Bill Foster is a man of integrity who has consistently displayed character throughout his successful business and personal life. He has the capability and the desire to address the urgent needs confronting our nation and creating myriad of difficulties for local residents.

He has the responsiveness and desire to represent the sentiments of his constituents. In these challenging times, we need and deserve a real statesman. We need Bill Foster.
