Dinner/auction to benefit homeless families

The 19th annual Hearts for Homeless Families in Transition Dinner and Auction, a fundraiser for the Catholic Charities' North/Northwest Suburban Shelter Program's New Hope Apartments, takes place at 6 p.m. March 15 at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre, 2401 W. Higgins Road, Hoffman Estates.

WGN Radio personality Lou Manfredini will serve as auctioneer and M.C. for the event, which will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, and four-course dinner with wine followed by a live auction.
