From brainwashing to the voter's booth

The lack of quotes from Republican leaders in your article about allowing 17 year olds to vote in Illinois proves what we conservatives have known all along.

The younger and more impressionable the voter, the better it is for liberal politicians.

Consider this that a 17-year-old is in his or her last year of high school, where liberal indoctrination by agenda-driven teachers is at its peak.

What better way to get votes for candidates who support programs and lifestyles embraced by the left than to send them right from the brainwashing center into the voting booth?

I would have voted for Jimmy Carter for a second term had the election been held in 1979, when I was 17.

But after watching a friend endure an abortion and receiving my first paycheck (minus what the government chewed off), I was inspired to vote for a man who promised the return of family values and a less intrusive federal government.
