Ted Takasaki rolls back into town for his annual fishing classes with Mike Norris and company this weekend. The sessions start Saturday at the Rolling Meadows Holiday Inn. For more information call (630) 842-8199.
Fishing report: Winter is back with a vengeance, and the fish are cooperating.
Fox Chain: Crappie fishing is excellent on Petite Lake. Check the 10-15 foot depths and use small minnows under slip-floats. The walleye action on Petite is also good during mid-evening hours. Channel Lake bluegills are on a feeding frenzy in 6 feet of water.
Bangs Lake: Decent bluegill action on the north side right outside the weeds.
Lake Michigan: Fair to good perch action at Montrose through the ice.
