Thanks for help with missing dogs

As I turned a corner, there they were. Two beautiful white bundles of fluff having a wonderful time playing chase on the golf course.

But, where was their human? No one in sight. So I stopped my car and called to them. They came straight away. Now what to do? I was holding onto their collars so I couldn't even open the car hatch and was afraid to let them go again. A car passed by. I said "please help" and a wonderful lady, probably on her way to work, pulled over and comes to help.

The doggies were not so white close up. They were both very muddy and wet on this cold January morning. But together we loaded them into the car. I thank her so much for her help and I hope she did not get her lovely blouse and skirt dirty.

I drove around trying to find the owner. I stopped to ask several neighbors if they knew anyone who has two white dogs. Everyone was so nice and helpful. One even called her 'dog friendly' neighbor, but no one knew who owned the fluff balls. The mailman didn't know either.

It was time for me to get to work. The doggies stayed in the back of my car while I walked my client's dogs. The pair were very good considering they didn't know me or my car.

The VCA animal hospital was around the corner. I took them there to see if they had been microchipped. But, sorry to say they were not. The VCA didn't even charge for the service. They said my best bet would be to call the Kane County Animal Control.

In the meantime, the owner had called KCAC. I left the two really well-behaved dogs after giving them some fuss. I had to get back to work. I was late, and hoping I wouldn't find any extra messes to clean up -- I didn't.

Thank you to all those Orchard Valley neighbors who helped me and those two gorgeous, damp and muddy Samoyeds.
