Not guilty pleas in U of Chicago student's death
Four suspects have pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of a University of Chicago graduate student from Senegal. They also pleaded not guilty to committing other armed robberies the night of 28-year-old Amadou Cisse's death in November. The defendants appeared together Tuesday in Cook County Circuit Court. They are: 17-year-old Jamal Bracey, 21-year-old Benjamin Williams, 16-year-old Eric Walker and 17-year-old Demetrius Warren. Cisse was fatally shot outside his home near the university. The native of Dakar, Senegal, was weeks away from completing his doctoral studies in chemistry at U of C. The university later awarded his degree posthumously.
