Exelon experiences licensing delay
CHICAGO -- Exelon Corp.'s bid to extend the operating license for its Oyster Creek, N.J., nuclear power plant was postponed after regulators failed to act on a favorable staff recommendation. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission posted on its Web site the decision to return the staff recommendation without taking action. The commission has never rejected a complete application to renew a reactor's license. Chicago-based Exelon has the largest national nuclear fleet in the United States.
