Help celebrate Palatine at expo

Palatine residents are invited to attend the Celebrate Palatine 2008 business appreciation and expo, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St.

The event is to thank residents for the business they do in Palatine. The highlight will be a business expo, focusing on Palatine merchants. Local retailers and merchants will be on hand to answer questions residents may have about their services.

Admission is free, and there will be live entertainment. The first 100 guests will receive a goody bag. All attendees will be entered to win a $100 saving bond from Bank of Palatine. For more information, call (847) 217-1845.

Network with the Palatine chamber

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, along with Elements Therapeutic Massage, will hold a Networking at Nite event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elements, 395 W. Northwest Hwy.

Enjoy refreshments while meeting and greeting members and non-members of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce.

Barrington High to hold citrus sale

The Barrington High School fine arts department is partnering with the Fine Arts Boosters to present the first Spring Citrus Sale. Proceeds from the sale of citrus will benefit the fine arts department.

Pick-up dates are scheduled for 2 to 6 p.m. March 14 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 15 at the high school, 616 W. Main St.

Drawing classes for Barrington seniors

"Art Matters," a series of drawing classes for seniors, is held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane.

The program is sponsored by the Barrington Area Council on Aging, and instructed by Lynne Helm.
