'Resource Fair' at Rotolo

The Kane County Regional Office of Education and gifted parent groups from the Tri-Cities will host the "Beyond the Classroom Educational Resource Fair" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rotolo Middle School, 1501 S. Raddant Road in Batavia. Representatives from local universities, music groups and museums will be on hand to talk about programs they have for students from kindergarten to high school. Learn massage therapy

Elgin Community College will host a massage therapy open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in room 214 of the Advanced Technology Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

If your home needs repair but finances are tight, Mid-Valley Neighborhood Improvement Association Inc. offers assistance for limited-income homeowners in the cities or townships of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles. Tax help for seniors

Free confidential tax preparation service will be provided to senior citizens Thursday afternoons through April 10 at the Geneva Township Senior Center, 400 Wheeler Drive, Geneva. Appointments are required. Call (630) 232-3602.

BP school grants available

Area teachers are invited to apply for BP grants of up to $10,000. The A + for Energy program is available to any preschool through high school classroom teacher in an accredited or licensed public or private school within Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties. Winners are recognized for developing creative and student-focused classrooms, after-school, extracurricular or summer programs. While these programs must be centered on energy or energy conservation, they can move beyond science to incorporate reading, math, history, geography and the arts. Interested teachers can find out more about the program by visiting www.aplusforenergy.org. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online by March 7.
