Neuqua to hoist state swimming trophy
Naperville's Neuqua Valley High School will celebrate its first state boys swimming championship with a ceremony at 7 p.m. today in the school's Rotunda, 2360 95th St.
The celebration to hoist the championship trophy is open to the community.
The Wildcats won the title Saturday in Evanston with 144 points, just ahead of defending state champ New Trier, which scored 139.
Senior Brian Alden led the effort, winning both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle titles for the third year in a row and anchoring a pair of successful freestyle relays.
