Parents, reinforce new curfew law

This is to all those parents out there who are choosing to ignore the new state curfew for 16- and 17-year-old drivers.

Please enforce the law with your children.

You may not agree with the law but it's the law. What kind of message are you sending to your kids that it's OK to break the law?

Please don't schedule parties that end at curfew while you know these kids are driving themselves.

Please don't encourage young drivers to come to your home and send them driving home after their curfew.

And please make sure your own teen drivers are abiding by the curfew themselves.
