Government has priorities wrong

Having participated in a flag line with the Patriot Guard Riders at the funeral of an Arlington Heights boy who died in Iraq, I was rather upset that the Marine Corp. had had access to a vehicle that may have saved his life but chose not to deploy the vehicle because of its $1 million price tag.

I became outraged when I got to the story about the digital converter coupons. The Federal Government, already up to my great-grandchildren in debt, is going to spend $1.5 billion so people can watch TV?

That very same $1.5 billion could have purchased at least 1,500 MRAPs!

Why is this government paying for TV signals with the lives of our Marines?
