Kane County
• Someone removed the mirror from its housing on the driver's side of a 2005 GMC Yukon truck while it was parked in a driveway at Ferson Creek Elementary School, 38W160 Bolcum Road, near St. Charles, between 2 and 3:05 p.m. Tuesday.
• Karl Carlock, 24, of 262 Fairview Drive, St. Charles, was charged with possession of marijuana (fewer than 30 grams) and driving on a suspended or revoked license, at 5:28 p.m. Feb. 7 at Route 38 and Randall Road, St. Charles. He also had two outstanding arrest warrants for failure to appear in court, one on a charge of driving while his license was revoked or suspended, and one on a charge of aggravated fleeing and eluding.
• Someone tried to pry open a patio door on a walk-out basement between 9 a.m. Dec. 20 and 9 a.m. Feb. 20 on the 4N700 block of Ware Woods Drive, St. Charles. They splintered the door frame and broke off the door's handle.
Geneva
• The left front window of a 1999 Honda Accord was shattered, possibly by a pellet, between 3:30 and 6 p.m. Monday while it was parked in a driveway on the 1100 block of Brigham Way.
St. Charles
• Gregory T. Burton, 19, of 4N997 Merideth Road, Maple Park, was arrested at 9:51 p.m. Tuesday and charged with retail theft after stealing $90 in items, including a DVD, air fresheners, makeup and cosmetic powder, from Wal-Mart, 150 Smith Road, police said. According to an arrest report, Burton stuffed the items into his pockets and tried to leave the store. He posted $100 bail and was released with a notice to appear in court March 20.
• Anthony M. Humbles, 17, of 1207 E. Main St., was arrested at 12:37 a.m. Saturday and was charged with two counts of aggravated drunken driving, two counts of drunken driving, driving without a valid license and driving without proof of insurance on the 900 block of South Ninth Avenue, according to an arrest report.
• Shawn S. Schraeder, 28, of 11 Hunt Club Drive, was arrested at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday at his residence on an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a forgery charge, according to a police report. Police said Schraeder hid in a closet when an officer went to his residence.
• A brown Stone Mountain purse valued at $150 and a brown wallet valued at $25 were stolen Wednesday from a shopping cart at Wal-Mart, 150 Smith Road.
