Give us fairness, not free rides
Many articles have been written regarding Gov. Blogoevich's Mass Transit bill. Does anyone really know what they are talking about? I seriously doubt it.
First of all not all senior citizens will ride free. This only applies to the fixed routes.
If you are a disabled rider and are in need you will pay to ride.
He did not cover this.
Maybe he believes there are not any disabled seniors that need to go places like the doctor or grocery shopping and maybe even to go for an important visit for dialysis.
Oh yes, if you want a ride you need to travel to the fixed routes and many seniors have no way of getting there.
What a great plan and such a marvelous lemonade he makes.
I made a call to an 800 number and the young lady on the other end became very obnoxious and stated, "I don't want to argue with you."
I wasn't exactly arguing with her all I wanted was an answer to a question.
What do they believe, because we are seniors we do not have a brain?
I believe respect is in order and I resent her attitude and anyone that thinks we are senile because of age. Wake up and smell the roses and treat everyone with respect whether young or old. We could teach you a thing or two about life.
We did not ask for free rides, just fairness and respect.
