Control guns to control violence

With the NIU shooting, there have been four school shootings in the U.S. in just the past week.

Yes, four. When are we as a civilized society going to do something to control guns?

NRA members like to say, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people."

I would ask them: Just how many NIU students would have been shot/killed if this assailant didn't have guns and ammunition?

Also, please tell me what the magic number is that we have to attain before we as a society stand up and say, "We've had enough and we're not going to take it anymore?"

Few advocate eliminating all guns, but any sensible person knows that we will continue to see such tragedies until we enact sensible, effective gun control.
