Classical guitarist to perform Feb. 24

The Arlington Heights Community Concert Association, in partnership with District 214 Community Education, will offer its third concert of the 2007-2008 season featuring classical guitarist and entertainer Edgar Cruz at 3 p.m. Feb. 24, at Forest View Educational Center Theater, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

Tickets are adults, $20; children grades K through 12 are free. Individual tickets may be purchased at the door, or through District 214. Call (847) 718-7702.

Cruz was named Oklahoma's Best Performing Artist three years in a row. Since 1995 he has been a headliner at The Chet Atkins Festival in Nashville.

Cruz plays classical, Latin, international, jazz, mariachi, and romantic music.

AHCCA's final concert of the season will feature Arlington Heights' own Prairie Brass Band with world champion whistler David Morris on April 26 at Forest View.

Next season's 2008-2009 schedule will be announced at both of the above concerts.
