To TV reporters: Stop the rambling

Regarding the shootings at NIU Thursday, will somebody please tell me why the three major Chicago TV networks have to take a story and beat it to death?

They ramble on and on, repeating everything they said with their last breath. Sure, it's a tragedy but it doesn't have to be beaten to a bloody pulp to get the message out. Parents and students should know how to get in touch with each other. That's, basically, all the news we got yesterday after 4 p.m.
