Understanding is much appreciated

On behalf of the West Dundee Village Board and the employees of West Dundee, I would like to publicly thank residents for their genuine cooperation and understanding over the past several months.

Since this past summer, we have been faced with weather-related issues unparalleled in our recent history. From the lightning strikes, flooding, severe winds and the "old fashioned" snow falls of the recent weeks, our challenges to meet the community's needs have been great.

Since the first of December, the public works department has been called out countless times to plow and salt the streets. Like the other municipalities within the Fox Valley, West Dundee is currently experiencing a lack of road salt. That, along with the amount of snow on Feb. 6 has resulted in our streets and roads being in less than optimum conditions.

As an organization, we pride ourselves on and are committed to delivering quality services to the residents and businesses. Please accept our sincere thanks in your understanding of this matter.
