Thanks for support of facilities plan

We would like to thank the residents of Naperville School District 203 for voting to approve the facilities referendum. A substantial majority (59 percent of a record primary turnout) showed that taxpayers support the district's vision and believe in public education. The renovated Naperville Central High School, the new Early Childhood Center and the other projects will address nagging problems and shortcomings, ensuring that our children have every opportunity to excel. The architect, Wight and Company, is an award- winning firm that has extensive experience in school renovations; we are looking forward to experiencing the results of their efforts.

We would also like to express our thanks to the Daily Herald for its detailed School Finance 101 study. We used the results of the study extensively to illustrate District 203's high student achievement and low cost when compared to other districts. The information the Herald provided helped us educate residents and turn their votes into a yes, and for that we thank you.
