Foundation offers grants to help community
The Barrington Area Community Foundation is once again looking for projects to get behind.
The foundation is now accepting grant applications for programs that address an unmet community.
This year, the foundation plans to hand out $115,000 in grant money, up from last year's total of $81,000.
Applications can be found online at www.barringtonareacommunityfoundation.org. They should be returned by Feb. 28 to the foundation's office at 421 N. Northwest Hwy., Suite 201 in Barrington.
The Barrington Area Community Foundation was founded in 1998 and made its first grants, $5,000, in 2000. The organization's mission is to build an endowment in order to address unmet needs in the community.
