Alcatel-Lucent signs equipment deal

HOFFMAN ESTATES -- AT&T selected Alcatel-Lucent to support the expansion of its high-speed wireless network. AT&T could then deploy radio network elements in many locations, such as the sides of buildings, existing cell sites and remote locations. It also will provide such services as advanced multimedia, mobile broadband, audio and video streaming, video sharing and high-speed mobile Internet on mobile phones. This expansion is one of the most widespread deployments to date for Alcatel-Lucent's high-speed data platform.
