Garbage truck starts on fire; no injuries reported

A Waste Management truck caught fire on the west side of Batavia late this morning.

The vehicle started on fire on Mill Street east of Randall Road. It appeared to workers that the truck started the fire, not the trash.

Geneva and Batavia fire departments responded to the scene.

There were no reports of injuries to the driver nor any passers-by.
