Bonnie Koloc to play at ECC
Bonnie Koloc, a celebrated figure on Chicago's music scene for nearly four decades, brings her blend of folk, jazz and other stylings to Elgin Community College's Visual and Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday.
Both performances will be held at 8 p.m. at the center's SecondSpace Theatre, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.
Tickets are $20. For an additional $17, patrons can enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by students of ECC's Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center of Elgin. The Culinary Arts staff plan to offer special touches to help audience members celebrate the Valentine's Day holiday.
Born in Waterloo, Iowa, Koloc emerged on the Chicago music scene in 1968. She has been a frequent presence at venues such as the Earl of Old Town, Mr. Kelly's, Orphans, Holstein's and area festivals.
