Warren High School student assessments
Officials from Warren Township High School and two elementary districts serving Gurnee recently met to pore over numbers detailing student achievement. Mary Perry-Bates, assistant superintendent of personnel and services at Gurnee-based Warren District 121, briefed board members Tuesday night about the session that occurred late last month. Perry-Bates said it was agreed more must be done with children in elementary school, as early as sixth grade, to get them ready for college. Perry-Bates said Warren also needs to offer more help to students who have problems reading. The January session described by Perry-Bates involved Warren, Woodland Elementary District 50, Gurnee Elementary District 56 and the Lake County Regional Office of Education.
