Poker tournament fundraiser is Saturday

Hampshire Youth Football and Cheerleading will host its second annual No-Limit Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington in Genoa. It is a $50 buy-in.

Each player will receive $2,750 in chips for their $50 buy-in. You are eliminated from the tournament when you lose all your chips. The tournament will not stop (except for short breaks) until one player holds all the chips and that player will be the first-place finisher.

The payouts are $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, $250 for third place, $175 for fourth place, $100 for fifth place, and $50 for sixth place.

If you have reserved a seat, but do not arrive at the start of play time, you will be assigned a seat and chips. Your blinds will be posted in your absence. You must arrive before the first hand of the second round of blinds (15 minute blind increases) or your seat will be eliminated and your chips will be forfeited.

Seating is limited to approximately 175 players. Players must be age 21 or older to enter.

Tickets bought in advance will be $50. Tickets bought at the door will be $55. To buy tickets and reserve a seat, contact Eileen Fleury at (847) 812-3439 or e.fleury@mchsi.com.

This is a fundraiser. The number of payouts does not increase as the number of players increase. All proceeds benefit Hampshire Youth Football and Cheerleading. Snacks will be provided. There will be a cash bar.
