Thanks to voters of School District 89
The Community Consolidated School District 89 Board of Education would like to thank voters for your overwhelming support of our $24.8 million bond referendum on Feb. 5. The 66 percent approval rating reflects the high value that the community places on educating our children in safe and modern learning environments and the high level of trust they have in District 89's board, administration and teachers. We appreciate every one of your votes.
We also want to thank the Secure 89 citizens group and the many residents who helped us inform our community about the referendum. The funds will be used over the next two years to prepare our facilities for the needs of the 21st century learner.
District 89 has a long history of fiscal prudence and high academic performance. The board will continue to exercise financial responsibility with your tax dollars as we move forward with improving the educational experience for every child that we serve.
