Geneva
• L.A. Tan, 1772 S. Randall Road, Suite 150, was burglarized at 11:32 p.m. Thursday. Burglars tried prying the back door, and smashed the glass on the front door. An unknown amount of cash was taken.
• A man driving a blue van left without paying for $39 worth of gasoline at 12:20 p.m. Friday at the Shell station at 1491 E. State St.
Kane County
• Several Xbox games valued at $200 were stolen out of a residence on the 35W400 block of Blackhawk Drive in St. Charles Township between 9:10 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Friday, police said.
• Two separate residences on Pauley Square in Blackberry Township had their cars burglarized between Thursday night and Friday morning. A purse valued at $350 was taken from one vehicle, while electronics valued at $780 were stolen from vehicles at the other residence, police said.
• Appliances valued at $1,700 were stolen out of a residence under construction on the 5N400 block of Deer Pond Drive in St. Charles Township between 6:20 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, police said.
• Lamar A. Payne, 20, of 1223 Fleetwood Drive, Apt. 207, Elgin, was cited for attempted fleeing or eluding a police officer, driving on a suspended or revoked license and no taillights after an incident near Fleetwood Drive and McLean Boulevard at 3:33 a.m. Friday, police said. After police attempted to pull him over, Payne got out of his car and ran.
• More than $20,000 in jewelry and coins were stolen from a residence on the 5N400 block of Paddock Lane in Campton Township between 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
• Four cordless drills were stolen out of the back of a truck parked on the 39W100 block of Chisholm Trail in Plato Township between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Friday.
• Two St. Charles men were cited after a traffic stop at Randall Road and Route 64 in St. Charles Township at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday. Brian D. Point, 22, of 1711 Jeanette Ave., was cited for improper lane usage and no front license plate police said. A passenger, Daniel Z. Bergeson, 23, 2007 Oak St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Bergeson was also arrested on two outstanding DUI warrants out of Kane County.
St. Charles
• Theodore J. Brubaker, 46, of 1102 Dean St. Unit 6, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. Sunday and charged with physical contact battery after attacking a neighbor in a dispute over $10, police said. Brubaker posted $100 bail and was released with a Feb. 28 court date.
• Ebony D. Hare, 24, of 222 Locust St. Unit 207, Elgin, was arrested at 10 p.m. Thursday and charged with retail theft after stealing five bottles of liquor valued at $137 from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, police said. Hare was released with a notice to appear in court Feb. 28.
• A vehicle window valued at $300 was smashed Saturday in the parking lot at Wal-Mart, 150 Smith Road.
• A pothole on the 4000 block of East Main Street was blamed for $75 in damage to a car tire rim Friday.
• A living room window valued at $150 was damaged by a BB or pellet Friday on the 900 block of Madison Avenue.
• Someone damaged a retractable pool cover valued at $12,000 on the 1000 block of Sutton Place on Thursday.
South Elgin
• A St. Charles man was arrested during a traffic stop Sunday on the 800 block of Spring Street, police said. Guenther Schoening, 48, of 6N566 Sycamore Ave., was charged with driving while license revoked, no insurance and improper use of registration, police said. According to the Kane County state's attorney's Office, Schoening has been convicted nine times for driving while license revoked. He posted a $1,500 bond and was released from custody.
