Black ice causes string of accidents
A stretch of black ice is being blamed for a frustrating commute this morning in the Bartlett area, where police responded to nearly a dozen car crashes along the Route 59 corridor.
No one was injured in any of the accidents, which Police Sgt. Mike McGuigan labeled as minor.
Multiple crashes took place at the Stearns Road intersection, but authorities say that site and the rest of Route 59 have since been cleared.
