Production yanked by Goodman
Artistic differences have prompted the Goodman Theatre to pull "The Boys Are Coming Home," by Leslie Arden (music and lyrics) and Rebecca Gilman (book) from its summer schedule. A musical adaptation of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" reset during the post World War II era, the show premiered in 2006 as part of Northwestern University's American Music Theatre Project.
Director Chuck Smith's revival of "Ain't Misbehavin'" showcasing the music of Fats Waller replaces "Boys" in Goodman's Albert Theatre.
