Thanks for support of board candidacy

I would like to thank all of the voters of District 2 of DuPage County for going to the polls in record numbers this past Tuesday. Despite coming up less than 1 percent short in my effort to represent the Republican Party in the general election in November, I found the experience of campaigning in a large area to be an exciting and interesting experience.

I wish to thank all of the voters who supported me and my opponents. A primary is a period of discernment designed to offer voters a strong choice. My opponents and I did that. To every person who walked precincts with me, put up signs, made personal phone calls, or delivered seniors to the polls, I thank you from the very bottom of my heart.

I am grateful, too, to the leadership of the DuPage Republican Party for their support and encouragement to make this run. My dear friend Sen. Dan Cronin remains a wonderful inspiration to me and a shining example of what helping people through public service is all about.

Now that the discernment process is over, I encourage all of my supporters to join me in supporting the winners of the primary in November. It's vital to put all of our effort into supporting Patrick O'Shea of Lombard and Brien Sheahan of Elmhurst in November.

Rest assured that I will continue to advocate for the issues we discussed on your front porches from Elmhurst to Lisle. Thank you for receiving me with such graciousness throughout a campaign season that included the holidays and the Super Bowl. Your kindness and support will be remembered by me always.
