Dueling columnists not his preference
I no longer read the Ray Hanania and Chaya Gil columns because they're pitched one against the other. Perhaps that's not intentional, but it's too much like Fox News for me.
To be effective and serve the purpose of the public, perhaps you'd insist that Hanania and Gil get together beforehand and reveal where they agree. Intelligent commentators cannot disagree on everything, so when they're portrayed this way, I discount the views of both contributors.
I'm not sure that's the writers' fault or if it is something the editors think we want to see.
