It's irresponsible to spend every last cent

Read your editorial and couldn't help but think of the irony of the current economic situation with everyone spending all they have and money they don't.

Here is the Kane County Board, which has some cash obviously burning a hole in its pocket.

What ever happened to "saving" this money for next year instead of spending it all and then crying because they are short funding for

a project six months from now?

The average citizen is supposed to save money for retirement, higher taxes or family emergencies.

And here is our local government, spending every last cent it has.

Is this irresponsible or what?
