Vallas mum on political future
Former governor candidate and Chicago Public Schools chief Paul Vallas returned to town recently to talk education reform -- but not politics.
Vallas side-stepped a question about whether he would consider another run for Illinois governor in 2010, saying he wouldn't answer any political questions.
He added, "I'm in New Orleans for at least another year."
Vallas lost to Gov. Rod Blagojevich in the 2002 Democratic primary.
Vallas splits time between New Orleans and the Chicago area, where his family now lives.
