Truck driver charged in Bartlett crash
One person was sent to the hospital Friday morning after a semitrailer truck and a car collided in Bartlett.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. Friday at Route 59 and Route 20.
Police say the truck turned left in front of a 2006 Toyota Scion traveling south on Route 59. The vehicles collided almost head-on, causing injuries to the driver of the Scion.
The intersection was closed for about an hour, and morning traffic was tied up.
The Bartlett Fire Protection District transported the injured driver to St. Alexius Hospital in stable condition.
Police said they charged David Modro, 57, of Toluca, Ill., for failure to yield while turning left. He will appear in Rolling Meadows court April 1.
