Some people seem to hate smokers
I don't know where all the people praising the Illinois smoking ban have been, but even before the ban was passed, there were lots of places that were 100 percent smoke free.
I'm sure I speak for most smokers when I say that what smokers object to is that there is no establishment where they can go.
They don't want to be around people who are bothered by smoke but merely want places they can go.
For example, if an entrepreneur wishes to open a cigar bar, it is my understanding that cannot be done under the law. Why is that?
Are non-smokers going to complain that they "can't bring their kids there" or "my spouse and I come home with the smell of smoke on our clothes?"
The casinos which have installed outdoor tents for smokers are not allowed to have entertainment or serve food or provide heat. What's next, armbands and swastikas?
Yes, it does seem like there is a patented hatred of smokers. I enjoy an occasional cigar before dinner, yet there is no place for me?. Give me a break.
