What's wrong with being out of reach?

The problem with theses cell-phone devices is how engineers have made them difficult to turn off.

The wonderful "off" button.

Why is it that more people do not utilize its greatness? It is clearly my favorite feature as I am not an OB/GYN or run a major corporation, and like most of you, really do not need to be tethered to a device 24-7. Trust me, you are not that important.

I'll keep my land line phone, direct wired, so my pals can call me and we can celebrate the end of George W Bush's administration on Jan. 20, 2009. But I will still use my cell only when I choose, and if someone can't get a hold of me, too bad.
