Woman pulls off two 'super' heists in Arlington Heights
Police know one thing about a woman who robbed two Arlington Heights businesses on Sunday -- she's not a football fan.
At around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, a woman asked for an order of moo shu pork before pulling out a gun and robbing China Wok, located in the Pal-Win Plaza at Palatine Road and Windsor Drive.
Three hours later, the same woman robbed a 7-Eleven at gunpoint about a mile away at Hintz Road and Windsor Drive. Before robbing the convenience store, the woman pretended to buy a roll of Tums, said Cmdr. Nick Pecora of the Arlington Heights Police Department.
At each business, the woman left with "a couple hundred dollars," Pecora said. She may have fled both scenes in a light-colored vehicle.
Witnesses describe the woman as being between 45 and 55 years old with a thin build and brown eyes. She was wearing a knit hat and a long dark coat. She was also carrying a colored, imitation designer handbag.
Residents with more information on the robberies should call the Arlington Heights police at (847) 368-5300.
