Taking issue with letter on abortion

I take issue with Elizabeth Pearson's Jan. 20 letter, on "good and bad news" on the deceleration of the abortion rate. Laws restricting abortion do not stop the practice: they drive it underground.

About her "bad news" that over the past 30 years the number of abortions have destroyed enough "to populate more than a half- dozen complete states including Illinois!" -- I wonder where we would put these people. How would we feed them? And where would they work? DuPage County now has less than 10 farms.
