Obama actually has done a great deal

This is in answer to another letter in Fence Post asking "what has Obama done for Illinois."

And my question is, why don't you people read something besides the comics? Then you would know about some of the things he has done and tried to do and not just for the people of Illinois.

Mr. Obama is just one person among many, often long-entrenched politicians who have been in their positions and have done nothing and accomplished nothing.

These are the people he has to work with, not against. He has never been president of either the Illinois Senate or House of Representatives. In spite of that, he has accomplished several of his bills being passed in Illinois and Washington even while being a junior member of Congress.

Please, all you people asking what has he ever done -- open your eyes, your ears and your mind. Thank you.
