Brown Line work in city
Suburban visitors who use the Brown Line train service in Chicago will have to alter their plans today. Chicago Transit Authority crews were scheduled to work on the Brown Line's tracks along the Wells Street bridge downtown from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. Brown Line service will run from Kimball Street to the Merchandise Mart, without proceeding to south the Loop during the track work. CTA officials said southbound Brown Line riders may transfer for free to the Red Line at Fullerton Avenue if they plan to travel to the Loop. In addition, buses will shuttle passengers from the Brown Line stop between the Merchandise Mart and Clark/Lake el stations.
