Townhouse series has single-family style
The Spring Valley series homes at Cambridge Lakes in Pingree Grove aim to give buyers single-family-style living at townhouse prices.
The three current phases of the Spring Valley series consist of 234 unique attached single-family plans. More than half of the homes have been sold.
The Spring Valley series homes are built with two distinctive single-family homes joined together at the side lot line with one of the homes set back from the other to provide a streetscape appearance and feel of a single-family neighborhood.
Every home has its own front, side and back yard, and owners have the freedom to garden or fence their yards the same way as a freestanding single-family home.
The Spring Valley series in Cambridge Lakes consists of five different attached home plans including a ranch style and four two-story versions.
The ranch features 1,250 square feet with two bedrooms and one bath with an available second bath.
The two-story plans range from 1,388 to 1,799 square feet with two to three bedrooms and 1½ to 2½ baths.
All homes feature two-car attached garages, and are priced currently from $195,000 to $223,000. Visitors can tour four professionally appointed model homes.
Cambridge Lakes was recently named the best overall suburban community by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.
The community is currently planned to include 2,995 single-family and multifamily homes when complete.
Cambridge Lakes features a preschool and charter elementary school (K-8), as well as a 30,000-square-foot community center with a large gymnasium and exercise rooms, meeting rooms, a day care center, a large lobby and gathering lounge including a food preparation and serving area and three outdoor pools.
Other amenities include plans for five baseball diamonds, three soccer fields, four playgrounds, seven tot-lots, a skate park and over five miles of walking trails. Cambridge Lakes features 367 combined acres of open space including 12 lakes, wooded park areas and natural conservation areas.
Cambridge Lakes is four miles southeast of the I-90 and Route 47 interchange, in a country setting near the Prime Outlet Mall in Huntley, and within 15 minutes of job centers in Elgin.
To visit the sales and model center, take I-90 to Route 47, then left (south) approximately three miles to Higgins Road (Route 72). Turn left (east) one mile to the entrance at Richard J. Brown Boulevard, then right on Wester Avenue following signs to Spring Valley.
