Opera to host a high tea with maestro

The Barrington Chapter of Lyric Opera of Chicago invites the public to High Tea with Maestro Alan Heatherington at 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane.

Heatherington, music director for Chicago Master Singers, Ars Viva and the Lake Forest Symphony, will share behind-the-scene vignettes on how a musical program is developed and produced.

Admission is $20 per person. Send checks by Feb. 13, payable to BCLOC c/o Margit Vogel, to 380 Oak Hill Road, Lake Barrington, IL 60010. The check is the reservation.
