Vote for candidates who support village

Since April, I have served as a trustee for the Village of Campton Hills and have been proud of the work the village has done. Now, more than ever, I am convinced that we need to maintain the village and elect the candidates who have our best interests in mind. On Tuesday, I urge you to vote for Patsy Smith for village president, Karen Dowd for clerk and Laura Andersen, Jim Kopec, Mike Millette, Susan George, John Strauss, and Al Lenkaitis Jr. for trustee.

These candidates will make sure we have a say in controlling our destiny. Before incorporation, residents were at the mercy of surrounding communities and a developer who may not have had our best interests at heart. As chairman of the Village Finance Committee, I know the opposition is pushing fear and not facts. I know we can run the village effectively with the income we are receiving. Our village leaders are truly honest and give many hours to making the community we all live in the best it can be.
