FTD Group reports increase in profits

DOWNERS GROVE -- FTD Group Inc., an international provider of floral related products and services, announced second-quarter profit rose 47 percent to $9 million, or 30 cents per share, compared to $6.1 million, or 21 cents per share, a year ago. That boosted revenue 2.6 percent to $155.5 million. Favorable foreign currency rate exchanges accounted for about $3.3 million of the revenue growth.
