Golden denied she voted Democratic
I don't really, really mind someone who changes political parties if it's a true matter of the heart and conviction. What I do mind -- really, really do mind -- are those who change back and forth on a whim, for 30 pieces of silver, for a favor, as a favor or to garner a vote. I don't like those people. I really, really don't like those people.
But those who do these frivolous things and then lie to "we, the people" about it? Those people are not worthy of public trust or public office.
It's even worse when a sitting judge lies. These are the people sworn to uphold the law. These are the people who take sworn testimony from you and I if we ever have to go to court.
On Jan. 16 at a Republican forum at the East Dundee village hall, I asked Judge Patricia Golden if she has ever voted as a Democrat in the last 10 years. She replied emphatically that she never had done so. I have the certified copy from the Kane County clerk indicating that she had indeed voted as a Democrat in the 2002 primary.
Golden lied to me in front of over 40 witnesses. At least three video cameras were watching this, too.
I am not voting for Golden on Tuesday. She certainly has not earned my trust. In fact, she has destroyed it.
We must weed out the liars, the fakes, the soul sellers and the spineless ... starting right here in Dundee, travel the roads and Prairie Parkways through Springfield and Chicago, and with momentum and money from the right people for the right reasons, we can put honesty and action for the people back in Washington.
When you say you "promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God" ... you'd best mean it.
